We can offer our customers the choice of screening people for threats either in a stand-off mode utilizing passive millimeter wave technology or in a portal mode utilizing our proprietary backscatter X-Ray technology. Both technologies can also be integrated to form a layered security checkpoint that efficiently detects a wide range of concealed metallic and non-metallic security threats.

About the Rapiscan WaveScan 200

The Rapiscan WaveScan 200 uses advanced passive millimeter wave imaging technology to provide a rapid and discrete method for discerning a wide range of concealed objects such as liquids, gels, explosives, weapons, contraband or other determined security threats.  Its technology includes a real-time Radiometric Scanner that images electromagnetic millimeter wave energy, an integrated full-motion video camera, on-board computer and a sophisticated, intelligent video detection engine.  A key feature of the passive millimeter wave technology utilized in the Rapiscan WaveScan 200 is that it passively detects electromagnetic energy coming from a subject and therefore can detect concealed objects without transmitting radiation. The Rapiscan WaveScan 200 has the ability to operate remotely from security personnel, a stand-off capability that reduces the risk to security personnel and increases operational flexibility.
