Deepak Chopra founded our company. Since its founding, Mr. Chopra has served as our President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director. He has served as Chairman of our Board of Directors since 1992.
Mr. Chopra also serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of our major subsidiaries. From 1976 to 1979 and from 1980 to 1987, Mr. Chopra held various positions with ILC Technology, Inc., a publicly traded manufacturer of lighting products, including serving as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer of its United Detector Technology division. Mr. Chopra has also held various positions with Intel Corporation, TRW Semiconductors and RCA Semiconductors. Mr. Chopra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and a Master of Science degree in Semiconductor Electronics.
Mr. Alan Edrick
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Alan Edrick joined OSI Systems as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2006. Mr. Edrick has more than two decades of financial management and public accounting experience, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial planning and analysis and regulatory compliance. Between 2004 and 2006, Mr. Edrick served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of BioSource International, Inc, a biotechnology company, until its sale to Invitrogen Corporation. Between 1998 and 2004, Mr. Edrick served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of North American Scientific, Inc., a medical device and specialty pharmaceutical company. Between 1989 and 1998, Mr. Edrick was employed by Price Waterhouse LLP in various positions including Senior Manager, Capital Markets. Mr. Edrick received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Ajay Mehra
Executive V.P., OSI Systems and President, Rapiscan Systems
Ajay Mehra is Executive Vice President and a Director of our company and President of our Rapiscan Systems division. Mr. Mehra joined our company as Controller in 1989 and served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from November 1992 until November 2002, when he was named Executive Vice President. Mr. Mehra became a member of our Board of Directors in March 1996. Prior to joining our company, Mr. Mehra held various financial positions with Thermador/Waste King, a household appliance company, Presto Food Products, Inc. and United Detector Technology. Mr. Mehra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Business of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
Mr. Victor Sze
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Victor S. Sze is Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Sze joined our company as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and General Counsel in March 2002. In November 2002, Mr. Sze was appointed Secretary. In September 2004, Mr. Sze was appointed Executive Vice President. From 1999 through November 2001, Mr. Sze served as in-house counsel to Interplay Entertainment Corp., a developer and worldwide publisher of interactive entertainment software, holding the title of Director of Corporate Affairs. Prior to joining Interplay Entertainment Corp., Mr. Sze practiced law with the firm of Wolf, Rifkin & Shapiro in Los Angeles. Mr. Sze holds a Bachelor or Arts degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a juris doctorate from Loyola Law School.
Mr. Manoocher Mansouri
President, OSI Optoelectronics
Manoocher Mansouri is President of our OSI Optoelectronics division. Mr. Mansouri joined our company in 1982 and was named President of this division in June 2006. Mr. Mansouri has over 25 years of experience in the optoelectronics industry. Between May 2000 and June 2006, Mr. Mansouri served as President of our UDT Sensors subsidiary (since renamed OSI Optoelectronics). Between 1982 and May 2000, Mr. Mansouri held various positions within UDT Sensors, including Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Director of its Aerospace-Defense group, and Director of Applications. Mr. Mansouri holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles as well as an Executive Program in Management certificate from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Joseph Davin
Co-Group President, Spacelabs Healthcare
Joseph Davin is Co-Group President of our Spacelabs Healthcare division. Mr. Davin joined Spacelabs Healthcare as Vice President, General manager North America in 2004, served as President, Global Sales and Marketing from 2004 to 2006, and served as Group President, North America Operations from 2006 to 2009 when he was named Co-Group President. Between 2000 and 2002 Mr. Davin served as the General Manager, Critical and Emergency Care for Datex-Ohmeda, North America. Mr. Davin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College.
Mr. Nicholas Ong
Co-Group President, Spacelabs Healthcare
Nicholas Ong is Co-Group President of our Spacelabs Healthcare division. Mr. Ong joined Spacelabs Healthcare as Vice President of Global Strategic Marketing and Business Development in 2004 and served as President of its Blease Medical division from January 2005 to January 2007. Between 2003 and 2004, Mr. Ong held the position of Asia Pacific Integration Leader for GE/Instrumentarium and from 1995 to 2002 held the position of President, Asia Pacific region for Datex-Ohmeda. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Ong was the Managing Director for Steris Corporation. Mr. Ong began his career in the healthcare industry with Beckman Instruments holding various positions in Singapore. Mr. Ong holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration from the Henley Management College in the UK.
