Additionally, Festival Melbourne 2006, the largest cultural and arts program Australia has ever hosted, will run concurrently with the sporting events.

Rapiscan Systems, a division of OSI Systems, Inc. today announced that it will be deploying multiple security inspection solutions at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games taking place in Australia from March 15th through the 26th. The equipment will be used to inspect packages, personal items, cargo shipments and vehicles at various venues throughout the games.
