OSI Systems Announces Introduction of Spacelabs Healthcare Ultraview DM3 Dual-Mode Vital Signs Monitor
HAWTHORNE, Calif., Apr 19, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:OSIS), a vertically-integrated provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications announced that its Healthcare Division, Spacelabs Healthcare, has introduced the Ultraview DM3 dual-mode vital signs monitor. The dual-mode monitor is the latest in the Spacelabs Ultraview series of patient monitors and can be used in clinical care environments for basic vital signs monitoring including SpO2, pulse rate, non-invasive blood pressure, respiration and temperature.
The Ultraview DM3 can operate either in Spot Check or Monitoring Mode. In Spot-Check mode, the monitor supports batch collection of basic vitals for multiple patients and also has the ability to collect supplemental patient information, such as Pain Level, Patient Position and Caregiver ID for inclusion on the patient's record once connected to the hospitals IT network. In Monitoring mode, the Ultraview DM3 provides continuous monitoring and alarm support for patients who require more vigilance, such as within the critical care environment.
