OSI Systems Receives $25 Million Order for Electronic Sub-Assemblies
HAWTHORNE, Calif., Nov 13, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- OSI Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:OSIS), a vertically-integrated provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the Security and Healthcare industries, today announced that OSI Electronics, a business within its Optoelectronic and Manufacturing division, has received a $25 million order from ITT Corporation for electronic sub-assemblies. The electronic sub-assemblies are to be used by the U.S. Department of Defense ("DoD") in their Mine Resistant Ambush Protected ("MRAP") armored vehicle program.
Additionally, the Company announced that OSI Electronics has received AS9100 registration for its U.S. manufacturing facility in Camarillo, CA. AS9100 certification is the internationally recognized quality management system for the Aerospace and Defense industries.
