Spacelabs Healthcare CEO Deepak Chopra said, Developing a wireless network option for the UltraviewSL 2400 is an exciting step for the Company and demonstrates the continual review and advancement of our product portfolio to ensure we meet the needs of our customers.  A wireless network capability is increasingly important for clinicians to access and document real-time patient information even during transport, helping them make critical decisions quickly and seamlessly. We believe this wireless monitor will be a significant new addition to our patient monitoring offering.

In patient transport, when surveillance of critically ill patients may be most challenging, wireless connectivity is particularly important.  By employing wireless monitoring, vital signs data can be displayed and viewed on central monitors while patients are being moved, enhancing patient safety and emergency response capabilities.  In addition, wireless connectivity allows for continued, seamless collection of patient data into Spacelabs Intesys Clinical Suite (ICS) of network applications, helping minimize interruptions in automated documentation.

The UltraviewSL 2400 wireless monitor provides a flexible solution that enables hospitals to augment the number of networked bedside monitors when extra capacity is needed.  The new monitor has full network compatibility with all existing Spacelabs UltraviewSL, Ultraview and PCMS centrals and bedside monitors.
